硫酸铜，又名蓝矾、石胆，无机化合物，化学式CuSO4，为透明的深蓝色结晶或粉末，溶于水，水溶液呈弱酸性，显蓝色。硫酸铜是制备其他含铜化合物的重要原料，同石灰乳混合可得波尔多液，用作植物的杀菌剂，也用于电解精炼铜时的电解液。
硫酸铜属重金属盐类，其水解的铜离子（Cu2+）能与蛋白质结合成蛋白盐，铜离子与蛋白质结合也会形成络合物(螯合物)，使蛋白质变性，沉淀，因而能使寄生虫的酶失去活性，起到杀死寄生虫的效果，尤其是对原生寄生虫类有较强迫杀伤力，对原生动物和有胶质的低等藻类有较强的毒杀作用。因此，它是鱼病防治中常用的药品之一，并且药效很好，可治疗杀灭鱼的原生寄生虫病，如体外寄生的鞭毛虫、纤毛虫、吸管虫、中华鳋等等，对水体藻类植物也具有杀伤力。
在畜禽类饲料中添加硫酸铜也具有显著的增效作用，硫酸铜是动物饲料所需的重要微量元素类药物添加剂。铜能促进骨髓生成红细胞，是重要的造血元素之一，与红细胞和血红蛋白的形成有关，并与组织中的过氧化氢酶、细胞色素C和细胞色素氧化酶含量有关，还具用催化铁的络合作用和促进蛋氨酸的吸收作用。
